Continuing on from my last post of the 'Classics' I thought I should mention Melbourne designer

Jade Sarita Arnott, the designer of Arnsdorf.

THE CLASSICS

As you can probably tell from my other posts I'm naturally drawn to slightly crazy and OTT styles. The first fashion designer I was inspired by when I first started studying fashion was John Galliano; so there you go...I'm a bit of a romantic.

BUT....there is nothing I love more than the classics. Wearing nothing but a men's white shirt, or some kick ass jeans, tailored waistcoats, t-shirts, one-pieces.......My mission in my fashion life is to find the perfect balance between these two elements of classic & rich/ lush/romantic.

STYLE LIKE YOU

I'm not sure how I came across this site, but I'm glad I did.

Style Like You has videos & pictures of artists, fashionists etc talking about how they choose to dress including tours through their personal wardrobes & stories about how they acquired special items.

Its pretty cool to be able to watch these people in action rather than just viewing photos. Highly recommended site, I'm hooked!

FLOWER TO THE PEOPLE

The Balenciaga Spring '08 collection was a stunning moment in fashion.

This morning I give you a bunch of Balenciaga flowers.....

& some interpretations on the theme.

The shoes were incredible in this collection. The floral carpet was genius for that pattern on pattern thing.

NEO TRIBAL FASHION SHOW

At the start of the summer I had a fashion show at the Spiegeltent when it came to Melbourne. It was so much fun. These photos were taken by my amazingly talented friend Elisha. (Thanks again honey!)
