I love the late 70s vibe of this editorial.

I wonder how we will look back on this time we are in now. I watched a film recently that involved a time capsule and it got me thinking this thought again. We romanticize about people that lived through the 60s..an era I know we all love....did they realise at the time how monumental it all was....I think some did, especially with the new music that came through at the time and hippies and all that.

Today I checked out Tommy's amazing photos on Style.com of the fashion weeks and this is what I came up with....I think we have got that very stylized classic look that you would find in say 50s or 70s fashion...but then you mix that in with a bit of punk/grunge/Balmain shoulder of the last year and add today's technology + futurism and you got this crazy world! People are often photographed attached to their phone (not that that's ground breaking news or anything)....Giovanna, who I posted about not long ago, I now notice is literally stuck to her phone in every picture. Its so crazy. Then there is Marc Jacobs amazing collection for LV,...a luxury label.....with Afro's+clogs+neony tassel bag etc!? I love it........what will we think of all this in years to come...!?

What I do know is that we sure will have a lot of documentation of our time!

Anyhow, it makes me wanna live to appreciate all that we have and are and make the most of today. Its special and unique and will never happen again like this!

P.S. Since my foot injury I have managed to get through a bit of sewing & design work which is exciting. It has been a challenge this week pushing the sewing pedal down with my heel and not the ball of my foot! hahaha....so stupid. Thanks for the bday wishes guys!

I had no idea this editorial existed!?

I have just had my birthday and celebrated with a Sunday BBQ that ended up getting a little crazy.......I stepped on glass with bare feet and spent the next day in the hospital getting bandaged up! Despite that drama I had so much fun, it was great to spend it with gorgeous friends and some sunshine.....spose it ain't a party til there is blood involved!!? Got some awesome pressies too....thanks guys xx
