PART 2 of the merino wool pants shoot!
I have been working very hard fine tuning the production of these pants and taking them for a test drive. They have been so nice to wear this winter!! Extremely comfortable & warm and yet I also feel like I have on an interesting piece which I'm all about. My favourite looks are Jon Silva's worn high on the waist with a blazer & heels for a slightly more dressy look and then during the day I go all baggy on baggy with a tshirt & big wool wrap scarf and boots.

Available in 3 sizes-
S (8-10)
M (10-12)
L (12-14)
These are very easy fit pants with wide elastic built into the waist + merino wool is stretch.

First wool range available in colours-
Vintage Black
Charcoal (pictured)
Khaki
$AU150
$USD137

Also available in cotton-
Black
Charcoal

Amazing Grace

Grace Kelly & Bing Crosby in High Society

I was introduced to the film High Society by my mum years ago. At the moment she is staying with me which is pretty special because it was a year since I saw her last.

Apparently my Grandparents used to sing the song True Love to each other (featured in the clip). So Romantic! I would love it if life and love was still as dreamy as this.

Grace Kelly is divine. I would like to make a move towards a classic kind of beauty, the clothing is so flattering for women, so classy & elegant.

Radiant Child

Jean Michel Basquiat
1960-1988

I have been going to see a few films at the Melbourne International Film Festival. So far each one has been amazing. I think its really important that I go and see as much as I can during the festival because the films become a big part of my education, thought process & fuel for inspiration!

I remember seeing Julian Shnabel's film Basquiat a few years ago.....and I had to leap at the opportunity to see The Radiant Child. Its the first feature length doco about the artist, made by Tamra Davis. It was based around some footage she took during an interview with Basquiat not long before he died. The footage was then shoved in a drawer only to be pulled out now.

Some thoughts on the film I'm just gonna spit out for future reference:

- It is so impressive how much work he produced and just how dedicated a painter he was. A lot of his friends said they wondered when he acutally worked coz he was always out partying. When he passed away he left 1000 drawings & 1000 paintings.

-Someone said (Think it may have been his agent) "I never knew an artist to physically abuse his paintings as Jean Michel did, I think you can date his paintings by looking at the shoe prints all over them!!"..........a lot of his paintings are huge and were painted on the ground, he often worked on them simultaneously, walkin all over them.

-Such a fast rise to fame! From broke ass on the street to selling paintings for big bucks within a couple of years.

- Samo, ahem, Mr Samo hehe and his poetic musings on the walls.

- I did feel a bit sad and wistful after this film; in a good way.

Melbourne Film Festival films I have seen to date:
Wasteland
Rubber
The Radiant Child
Boy
(going to see Bill Cunningham doco on Sunday!)

P.S Added some pictures of a recent collection of Reebok sneaks featuring Basquiat's work.
